Actually, I think that's a noun, like 'realization' or 'cooperation' or 'nation.' Now, if it were "megatize" or "megalize" it would be a verb. However, either category is something you can proudly list on your CV...
In the first instance, I see "-ation" as a suffix to create nouns out of verbs ending in -ize, -ate, etc, so I think of verbs first. (This is going back to my training in the days when Noam Chomsky was the world's foremost linguist, so, yeah, a while back.) But then you throw me "nation"; now I wonder where that came from.
